Direct Deposit places recurring deposits into your Sky Federal Credit Union checking or savings account automatically. Deposits may include salary, pension, Social Security and other Government benefits. If you receive recurring Federal payments, nothing could be safer!
How does it work?
Direct Deposit for payroll:
Ask your employer to see if they participate in Direct Deposit through the Automated Clearinghouse (ACH). Provide the following information.
- Sky FCU Routing Number (ABA): 292977747 (the first set of numbers found on the bottom of your checks)
- 13 digit MICR account number (the second set of numbers, found after the routing number)
- Deposit account type (checking or savings)
- Name of the account holder and all other requested information (some employers will request a voided check)

Why Direct Deposit?
It is reliable and convenient. Direct Deposit allows you to make your deposits without traveling to a branch. You will have same-day access to your paycheck, even when you are out of town. You’ll never have to worry about checks getting lost in the mail, delayed if it’s your day off, or stolen – it’s a safer way to bank!
If you are a Sky@Home Online Banking user, you have the ability to setup eAlerts* via email or text message that will let you know when your money has been deposited to your account. You can also distribute the deposit across multiple Sky FCU accounts using Payroll Deduction or Payroll Distribution.
This service is a great way to build your savings–have a predetermined amount taken from your paycheck and have it automatically deposited into your account! Your deductions may be changed at any time.
Check with your employer to see if they offer payroll deduction paycheck distributions.
