One of the most rewarding ways we support our communities is through partnerships that bring meaningful resources to local organizations. Recently, Sky Federal Credit Union partnered with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines to secure Community Impact Grant funding for five nonprofit organizations serving southwest Montana. Through this partnership, a total of $76,796 was awarded to support projects that strengthen communities, expand opportunities, and improve quality of life throughout our region.
The organizations receiving Community Impact Grants include Prospera of MT, DECA of MT, Gallatin Ice Arena Foundation, Madison Valley Community Center, and Gateway Wellness Center. Each of these organizations plays a vital role in enhancing the economic vitality, educational opportunities, recreational resources, and overall well-being of the communities they serve. We are proud to help connect these organizations with resources that will allow them to continue making a positive difference.
Programs supported through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines create lasting impacts by providing funding for initiatives that address local needs. Whether supporting community development, education, workforce readiness, recreation, or health and wellness services, these investments help create stronger and more resilient communities for current and future generations.
Education is another cornerstone of community success. Every year, Sky Federal Credit Union proudly awards scholarships to deserving students pursuing higher education and career training opportunities. These scholarships represent more than financial assistance—they are investments in future leaders, innovators, healthcare professionals, educators, business owners, and community advocates.
As the cost of education continues to rise, scholarships can make a meaningful difference for students and their families. We are continually inspired by the ambition, dedication, and community spirit demonstrated by our scholarship recipients. Their achievements remind us that supporting education is one of the most impactful investments we can make.
Since 1984, Sky FCU has proudly awarded 166 scholarships to student members, investing a total of $166,000 in their educational journeys. We are honored to support the next generation of leaders and look forward to expanding this impact for years to come.
At Sky FCU, we love celebrating the hard work and achievements of our student members. That's why we offer our Good Grades Program for students in grades 9–12. Simply submit your semester transcript, and we'll reward your academic success with cash for your good grades. It's our way of recognizing your dedication and encouraging you to keep striving for excellence.
